Elecsys 2010

Automated electro – chemiluminescense system.
For thyroid & reproductive functions, first result obtained after 12 minutes; then a result every 20 seconds.
Various hormonal assays, TDM and tumor markers.

Axsym (Version 6.1) (Abbott)

Immunology Autoanalyzer.
Fully automated system, performing both random and continuous immunoassays. Using 3 different assays technologies:
1- MEIA 2- FPIA 3- REA ( Radioactive Energy Attenuation)
Can perform 56 different parameters as: TORCH, Hepatitis Markers, HIV Test, Tumor Markers, Hormonal Assays and Drug Assays.
Sensitivity is equal to 99.69%
Can perform up to 130 specimens/hour.

Cell Dyn 1800

The Cell Dyn is the latest 3-part differential analyzer. Offering 18 parameters and extensive QC and data management capabilities, the Cell Dyn 1800 meets the needs to today's growing labs.

The system utilizes impedance resistance to measure human cells while incorporating the patented von Behrens plate to virtually eliminate coincidence counts from each sample.

Throughput of up to 60 samples/hour.

Bar code reader eliminates transcription and data entry errors.


Immulite 1000

The Immulite 1000 immunoassay system features an extensive menu, ease of use, reliability, robust hardware and excellent assay performance.

The IMMULITE 1000 performs various types of immunoassay testing for cardiac biomarkers, thyroid function, reproductive endocrinology, infectious disease, TDM, serology, anaemia, drugs of abuse, diabetes and tumor markers are all easily run with true random access capability.

Turbo capabilities provide results in 15 minutes for critical STAT assays including the cardiac biomarkers Troponin I, CK-MB and Myoglobin, as well as Intact PTH and HCG.

The Immulite 1000 is designed to meet the immunoassay testing needs of the clinical laboratory today and tomorrow.


Stratagene (Real Time PCR)

Real Time PCR technology reduced the time needed to perform tests into 2-3 hours. The machine do the amplification and detection procedure of the PCR technique.

The technique is used to do the following tests:

Coulter HmX

                                             

 

The Coulter HmX hematology analyzer offers three-dimensional VCS technology, providing excellent sensitivity, specificity and efficiency in white cell differential and reticulocyte analysis.


Pathology Unit

The pathology unit is equipped with: fully automated specimen processing machine, microtome, tissue path and Olympus microscope. The unit launched, in 2008, the service of immunohistochemical staining of about 120 different stains.


Rotagene (Real Time PCR)

What sets the Rotor-Gene apart is its amazing precision; the result of near-perfect well-to-well thermal and optical uniformity. Its design also enables a fast data acquisition rate, a capability now proving to be essential for advanced applications such as HRM (high-resolution melt).

Software: Build-in extensive analysis, graphing and statistical functions.

It supports the broadest range of applications, including quantification, HRM, end-point, association/disassociation (i.e. melting/annealing) kinetics, and nucleic acid concentration measurement.

It has the greatest optical range, with 6 channels spanning UV to infra-red wavelengths.


Computerized Assessed Semen Analysis (CASA)

This method allows objective semen analysis and fully validated technology. The following elements of semen analysis are accurately assessed: sperm concentration, % motility, motility grading (in agreement with the World Health Organization Laboratory Manual for the Examination of Human Semen), concentration of grade (a), (b), (c) and (d) motile spermatozoa, as well as morphology and motility characteristics including velocity, linear velocity and linearity.

X-Tractor Gene

X-Tractor Gene machine is the most recent technology that was added to Saridar Laboratory. The machine do the extraction process of the DNA in the PCR test automatically and this helps in:

1- Prevent the cross contamination that can results from manual extraction

2- Regulates the steps of the extraction without any human interferance and this prevents error that may occur

3- Decrease the duration needed to finish the extraction process as it can do extraction for 96 samples at the same time so decreasing the time of the PCR test

Sysmex K21

A fully automated 18 parameters hematology analyzer with 3 differential WBCs parameters.

 

RBCs, WBCs, Platelet count and MCV are calculated using a very sensitive technique called ''aperture impendence method".

 

Haemoglobin is measured by a very sophisticated single beam photometer.

 

Haematocrite, MCH and MCHC are calculated by and computed by the machine from the previous estimated values.

 

 


Architect Cell (Abbott)

The Architect c4000 is integrated with the Architect i1000SR to consolidate clinical chemistry and immunoassay on one platform

Robotic Sample Handler (RSH) maximizes analytical productivity with "real time" STAT, automated rerun, and reflex testing capabilities

Multiple sample loading

Up to 55 assays onboard including ISEs allows consolidation of testing

Opencode system provides flexibility to run esoteric assays
